Wave of Success

Monday I was contemplating an early exit from cycling, calling the 2014 season over. And now on Wednesday I found myself catching the SuperFits.  But I wasn't alone. Rob sped me over the hill and dropped me off in Mill Valley, where I quickly latched on to another rider. He was effortless and thanks to him I made good time into SF.

That's when I rolled by the SuperFits, timing my pass perfectly while they were all clipping back in at the light. The sounds of "Moooooo" lingered in the distance. Oh, and that's pronounced Moe, or Meaux as a barista at Starbucks recently spelled my name (yes, I know they're messing with me).

What else can I say. The only thing better was coaching my son's basketball team to a season opener win last night. We almost squandered a 10 point lead but my guys fought off the wave of momentum, never letting up. And so it goes, I can't hang up my cleats this year just yet. Especially when my wave of success lies beneath me.
