As I've said, cycling with a backpack is annoying. So today I get to bring my work clothes, towels, etc into work all at once. These supplies should last me a good three weeks until the next trip. Ill be traveling light on my next commute in which works perfectly with my planned elevation training.
But I'll still be carrying a few extra pounds on the mountains. So today's the day that I make some changes. Yep, soda is no longer an option. Ice Cream is the forbidden fruit (good thing I already emptied that gallon of cookie dough last night). Chips - can't stand them anymore. Water and fruit will be my natural replacements for my favorite foods and drinks. Notice, I'm not absolutely crazy. Coffee is still a staple in my diet. However I may swap a latte for a chai tea or something - who knows.
The end goal will be too break my new weight threshold once and for all. Basically, in about a month I could be riding 10lbs lighter. 5lbs from backpack and 5 lbs from my belly! And in cyclist speak, 10lbs of freedom means new PRs on Strava are bound to surface. It will be like riding a new bike again and who wouldn't want that?
